From staples like baguette, campagne, and croissants, to limited-edition products using seasonal ingredients, they always carry over 40 types of bread. Preservatives are kept to a minimum. Every Sunday, with "SUNDAY VEGAN," all items in the shop become vegan-friendly. Even on weekdays, plenty of vegan-friendly bread is lined up — recommended for the health-conscious too. What I ordered: Salmon cream cheese sandwich Melty egg sandwich An-butter (vegan) Vanilla cream (vegan) Every one had nice texture and a satisfying bite. The an-butter and the vanilla cream were so rich it was hard to believe they were vegan! There are seats in the hotel's 1st-floor lobby and on the 2nd-floor sofas, so seating shouldn't be an issue — a relief!

A bakery on the 1st floor of "The Knot Tokyo Shinjuku," a hotel near Shinjuku Central Park. They have a wonderful initiative where every Sunday, themed "SUNDAY VEGAN," all of their bread becomes vegan. Even during regular operating days, several varieties of vegan bread are available. And I always buy the An-butter (red bean paste & butter), haha. I picked up a chewy chocolate bagel and a fluffy sugar donut too. I sat on a sofa in the hotel's stylish space and freely enjoyed conversation with the bread.

Allergy info: allergen stickers are on the price cards. Products with the "SUNDAY VEGAN" sticker are vegan. A 5-minute walk from Nishi-Shinjuku-Gochome Station — I visited MORETHAN BAKERY! It's on the 1st floor of a modern hotel and the atmosphere is lovely. I went on a Monday around 15:00, and roughly half of the products in the shop had the vegan mark on them. (It probably depends on the day.) You can eat your purchased bread in the hotel lobby on the 1st or 2nd floor. Drinks can be bought at the shop across the way. On a nice day, you can also eat at Central Park right out front! It has lawn — comfortable. This time I bought a bagel, a donut, and a grilled vegetable sandwich (half). The bagel is big and chewy. The salt is well-balanced, and the onion and sesame are nicely aromatic — very delicious. The donut had a light texture with no oiliness. And my main target — the grilled vegetable sandwich. The carrots were delicious; the mustard added a nice heat; I cruised through it, and the last bite was sweet — homemade almond butter doing its work. The hotel itself is totally fine to use (slope at entrance, no steps in the 1st/2nd floor lobbies where you can eat).
