First Tokyo location of SHOGUN PIZZA, a Toyama-born one-hand pizza shop, opened January 10, 2026 at Espana-zaka (Spain Slope), Udagawa-cho 13-4, Shibuya Ward, about a two-minute walk from JR Shibuya Station and Tokyo Metro Shibuya Station. It runs as a sister brand of the burger chain SHOGUN BURGER. Long-fermented dough is topped with seasonal Japanese ingredients, an original cheese blend, and prosciutto, sized to eat with one hand.
— One-Hand Pizza from Toyama
The focus is one-hand pizza, small enough to hold and eat in one hand. The long-fermented dough uses a blend meant to balance lightness with substance, with a soft texture. Toppings include seasonal Japanese ingredients, an original cheese blend, and prosciutto. A gluten-free dough is also offered for customers cutting back on wheat. The parent brand is Toyama-born SHOGUN BURGER, and this sister brand made its first Tokyo entry at Shibuya's Espana-zaka on January 10, 2026. The interior uses an orange color scheme, and takeout is available.

They have gluten-free pizza!
Order on the 1st floor, eat on the 2nd floor.
As the sign at the entrance says "2F 25 seats," seating is limited. There are 5 counter seats by the window, sofa-and-table seats for about 10 along the wall, and a large round table in the center for about 10. The menu also included free drinks, but as a "one-hand pizza" concept, the main idea seems to be eat-and-go or takeout.
Karasumi pizza seems popular, but only 2 kinds can be made gluten-free, and I had those:
・Smoked margherita
・Pizza with prosciutto and fresh salad
Since I chose gluten-free, they asked, "Allergy?" There's an open kitchen on the 1st floor, but on the 2nd floor there's a kitchen labeled "Gluten-Free Lab" — apparently dedicated to gluten-free. Wonderful!
The pizza menu had allergen labels too.
When my number was called and I saw my tray, there were 2 pizzas and a salad — wait, this isn't what I ordered??? Then they explained, "Put the salad on top and fold it to eat."
The cheese-pizza crust looked satisfying on its own, and the size was a bit too small to fold, but I managed to fold and eat about 3/4 of the salad on top!
Delicious ✨
The flavor is indistinguishable from regular pizza — hard to believe it's gluten-free — and I was moved (it's been years since I felt this texture!) 😭
The size is small, but the dough is plump and fluffy — truly authentic Naples pizza flavor!
The margherita was also normally delicious, but I personally preferred the salad pizza ♡
I hope they open more locations in Tokyo as fast food?!
I also love karasumi, so I'd love to have a gluten-free version added!!
May this voice reach the management 🙏
Pizza often has a size problem for casual eating, so this size that lets you try multiple kinds is very Japan-friendly and felt revolutionary!
