HATAKE CAFE

I had expectations from the name "Hatake Café" (Field Café). On the basement 2nd floor of Isetan, at the back of the cosmetics area — a fairly spacious café. As the name "hatake" (field) suggests, the interior and menu communicate care for vegetables and fruit. The menu has allergen labels, and notes throughout say: "Those with allergies please consult nearby staff." This time I ordered the açaí bowl and burdock tea — items whose only allergen is dairy. However, many menu items list 2-3 of "wheat, dairy, egg." Hoping something could be accommodated, I asked. The granola on the açaí bowl is oatmeal, so oats are used but wheat is not. Removal is possible. The fruit was indeed fresh and aromatic — the açaí bowl was delicious! The burdock tea wasn't bitter and was easy to drink. For meals there are pastas and stylish rice dishes, plus lots of drinks like smoothies — some are soy-milk-based without dairy. There are also vegetable/fruit-only smoothies and kids' menus.
