BASSANOVA Harajuku

A 5-minute walk from Harajuku Station, through the bustle of Takeshita Street and down a back alley is **Bassanova**. A shop where you can enjoy a unique ramen fusing ethnic and ramen styles! Vegan menu items are available, and on my visit day many international customers were there. The menu is also abundantly English-translated — welcoming to tourists! This time I had the Veg Green Curry Soba [Vegan]. No animal ingredients, but a rich Japanese-style dashi made with Hidaka kombu, bonito flakes, sardines, and domestic dried shiitake, combined with organic soy milk and homemade green curry paste — a carefully crafted bowl! Ethnic feel yet with solid Japanese umami — easy to eat! High completion as ramen too, with satisfying volume. If you want a slightly special ramen in Harajuku, **Bassanova** is a must-check!
