Located on the 7th floor of a building, a 4-minute walk from the south exit of JR Asagaya Station, this cooking studio and cafe blends plant-based cooking with fermentation, raw food, and medicinal cuisine principles. Opened in June 2026, the name reflects the meaning of "gentle dining table." Based on the idea of a place where people gather and connect through food, they hold cooking classes and cafe events in the same space, with a monthly schedule.
— From a nursery school nutritionist to a gentle mealtime.
The cafe is run by Ms. Nakamura, a registered dietitian and chef. While studying to become a registered dietitian at Tokyo University of Agriculture, she encountered "food education" and "fermentation," and gained experience in "body-friendly food" in school lunch settings as a nutritionist at a nursery school. In 2009, she opened a cooking class called "Delicious and Fun Food Time" in Nishitokyo City, and in 2021, she launched "PLANT BASED DELI & SWEETS aika," which manufactures and sells plant-based deli items and sweets. The cafe also features some of aika's popular menu items. Kind Table is a new hub for the cooking class that she developed in Nishitokyo City.

A cafe & cooking class has opened in Asagaya 🥘
It's all gluten-free and plant-based, incorporating many fermented foods, and also offers raw sweets 🧁
The lunch plate includes a hearty, gentle soup, salad, deli items, and your choice of rice flour bread or organic brown rice onigiri.
They'll be adding new menu items daily and seasonally!
I'm also curious about their parfaits and shaved ice 😋
The cafe has large windows and a spacious, open view ✨
Some menu items use nuts such as cashews and walnuts, but they can be omitted if you contact them in advance 💕

First, they asked if I had any allergies. When I mentioned that one of my children, who wasn't with me that day, had a nut allergy, they said they would accommodate it and asked me to let them know when I was coming. I'm sure they're very knowledgeable about allergies, as they've been running cooking classes for many years.
This cafe restaurant is run by Miho Nakamura, a registered dietitian who also works as a chef, food coordinator, and food education instructor.
Ms. Nakamura, who is also the owner of the vegan and gluten-free sweets brand "PLANT BASED DELI & SWEETS aika," creates healthy sweets that can be enjoyed at the restaurant. 🧁
🥗 Menu Items We Had
Kind Plate
A one-plate dish with weekly changing deli items, salad, and soup. You can choose between organic brown rice onigiri or rice flour bread. 🍙🥖
The dressing for the organic vegetable salad has a mild flavor, made with soy milk mayonnaise and onion koji.
The deli items included "Beet Potato Salad," refreshing "Carrot Rapée" with citrus flavor, and "Soy Meat Crumble" with an addictive sweet and savory taste 🌱
During dinner time, you can enjoy appetizers and à la carte dishes using tempeh from @tempehstudiotokyo, along with organic wines 🍷 They are open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with dinner only on Fridays and Saturdays.
The entrance to the shop is in the Asagaya Pearl Center shopping arcade, and you take the elevator up to the 7th floor. The view from the window is spectacular! Be sure to visit during lunchtime when the blue sky is beautiful, or during dinnertime when the night view is stunning ✨
They also sell small sweets and seasonings, so you can stop by even just to shop 🍪
Every Tuesday, they hold rice flour bread lessons 🍞
There are still openings in June, and single-session participation is possible, so now is your chance!
Plant-based rice flour bread is easier to make than regular bread, so even those who are not confident in their cooking skills are welcome 🌱
