The signature is the complex of a picture-book store, an organic shop, and a vegan restaurant launched by picture-book author Keiko Ochiai in 1976. The restaurant serves vegan dishes centered on organic, pesticide-free vegetables, with seasonal-vegetable salad bowls, brown-rice lunch plates, vegan curry, and vegan sweets. It uses no animal ingredients, white sugar, or chemical seasonings, and chooses organically grown ingredients. The picture-book store sells children's picture books, illustrated reference books, and educational toys, while the organic shop sells additive-free foods, seasonings, baby goods, cosmetics, and clothing, in a lifestyle-focused format. The parent, Crayonhouse, was founded by Keiko Ochiai in 1976 in Omotesando (Jingumae, Shibuya Ward) and has long supported Japan's organic culture. Due to the aging of the Omotesando building, it relocated and reopened in Kichijoji in December 2022. It draws local regulars, families raising children, and vegan enthusiasts.
